Tokoname-yaki Teapot
Tokoname-yaki teapot was designed by the Fukuoka Prefecture Tea Industry Youth Association, following extensive research in Yame, one of Japan's leading regions when it comes to high-quality teas. It offers a modern twist on the classic kyūsu.
Traditionally, kyūsus come with lids, but this unique design features an open top, allowing you to savor the experience with all your senses. When you pour hot water into the teapot, the delightful aroma of the tea rises with the steam as the leaves expand inside.
Crafted in Tokoname City on the Chita Peninsula in Aichi Prefecture, this teapot is made from Tokoname clay, which is rich in iron and sourced locally.
The recessed handle fits securely in your hand, providing a stable grip. With no lid, this teapot is very lightweight.
Versatile and stylish, it’s perfect for brewing a variety of teas, including green tea, black tea, and Hojicha tea, as well as tea bags.
