


Organic Okuharuka Kamairicha

Kamairicha is a rare Japanese tea produced mainly in Kyushu. Organic Okuharuka Kamairicha is a single cultivar Kamairicha produced by Mr. Miyazaki in the village of Gokase, Miyazaki Prefecture.
To make Kamairicha the tea leaves undergoes a pan firing process after harvest to stop oxidation—unlike most Japanese teas which are steamed (like Sencha). Compared to the straight, needle-like leaves of Sencha, Kamairicha is easily recognized by its curled, spiral shape.
