

Organic Gyokuro Karigane
A premium gyokuro karigane produced by Mr. Sakamoto in Kagoshima. Harvested in early to mid-May, it is made from a blend of the Yabukita and Okumidori cultivars. The tea plants are shaded for up to 20 days before harvest, giving the tea its characteristic depth and rich umami.
This tea can be brewed at low temperatures for a sweet and umami-rich infusion, but it also responds beautifully to higher temperatures, revealing more depth and a gentle touch of astringency.
In the cup: smooth and subtly sweet with very low astringency and a light umami—perfect for a soft yet vibrant morning brew.
