Organic Kirishima Sencha

270,00 kr

A lightly steamed, first-harvest sencha tea produced by Mr. Koichi Henta from the Yabukita cultivar. The tea leaves are shaded for seven days before harvest, adding richness and depth to both the color and mouthfeel of the tea.

The tea farm is located at the foot of Mount Kirishima in Kirishima, Kagoshima. Founded in 1968 by Mr. Satoru Henta, the farm is now owned and operated by his son, Mr. Koichi Henta and now also his son Tatsunori. Specializing in organic tea cultivation, Mr. Koichi Henta carefully oversees production through small hand adjustments and close attention to daily weather, temperature, and changes in the surrounding ecosystem. He also uses homemade compost produced on the farm.

In the cup: a rich, green aroma with a smooth body and a refreshing finish with delicate citrus notes.
