

Organic Kirishima Matcha
Organic matcha produced in Kirishima, Kagoshima by Mr. Koichi Henta. Made from the Yabukita cultivar, the tea is shade-grown for 21–35 days before harvest and carefully ground from its tencha base using machine grinding.
The tea farm is located at the foot of Mount Kirishima, where the Henta family has cultivated tea since 1968. Today, the farm is run by Mr. Koichi Henta and his son, who specializes in organic tea cultivation. Production is guided by careful daily adjustments based on weather, temperature, and changes in the surrounding ecosystem, alongside the use of homemade compost prepared by Mr. Henta himself.
In the cup: mild, floral, and gently earthy with a subtle natural sweetness. Ideal for matcha lattes.
