This high-quality organic karigane sencha is made from a blend of first-harvest sencha leaves and stems. The combination of stems and leaves offer a tea with lower caffeine content, making it great for mornings.

Enjoyed on its own or paired with food, karigane offers a soft and delicate brew. The tea is also highly recommended as mizudashi (cold brew), which brings out its natural sweetness and refreshing character.

In the cup: a bright yellow infusion with sweet and delicate floral notes.

Sencha is best brewed in a small, preheated teapot and with full attention. You can brew several times on the same leaves, adjusting the water temperature and brewing time.

Below a suggestion for brewing this tea, but please experiment and find your own favorite cup.

Use 6-8g for 200 ml water.
1. brew: Water 80°C / 60 sec.
2. brew: Water 85°C / pour immediately
3. brew: Water 90°C / 10-20 sec.
