A high-quality genmaicha composed of 50% first flush organic sencha from Kagoshima and 50% roasted organic brown rice from Hokkaido. When infused, the blend develops a warm, inviting aroma and a clear golden liquor, balancing the fresh character of sencha with the sweet, toasted depth of the rice.

In the cup: sweet, nutty notes from the roasted rice balanced by the fresh, grassy character of sencha.

Genmaicha is best brewed in a small, preheated teapot and with full attention. You can brew several times on the same leaves, adjusting the water temperature and brewing time.

Below a suggestion for brewing this tea, but please experiment and find your own favorite cup.

Use 6-8g for 200 ml water.
1. brew: water 90°C / 40 sec.
2. brew: water 90-95°C / pour immediately
3. brew: water 90-95°C / pour immediately
