

Organic Asamushi Asanoka Sencha
This Organic Asamushi Asanoka Sencha from Hioki is a lightly steamed (Asamushi) first-harvest sencha, grown by the Komaki family on their organic tea fields in the Hioki district of Kagoshima—the same fields used for their Fukamushi teas—and made from the Asanoka cultivar. “Asa” refers to the freshness of morning and evokes the image of newly sprouted leaves.
The deep green leaves are delicately processed and shaped into beautiful, needle-like forms. Unlike the deep-steamed Fukamushi version, this Asamushi Sencha preserves the leaf’s natural structure and clarity of flavor.
In the cup: a fresh, green aroma with soft floral notes. The taste is crisp and well-balanced, with a gentle umami and a touch of natural sweetness. A smooth, bright and refreshing finish.
