Chasen - Black 80

A high-quality chasen handcrafted in Takayama, Nara, Japan by a skilled local artisan. Made from natural black bamboo, locally sourced and valued for its strength and flexibility, this whisk features 80 finely hand-carved tines, carefully shaped for whisking both usucha (thin matcha) and koicha (thick matcha), creating a smooth texture and rich froth.

Each whisk is individually made in limited quantities, approximately 8–10 pieces per day, with a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship. Every piece is unique, shaped by both the natural character of the bamboo and the precision of the artisan’s hand.

For best care, rinse with water after use and allow to air dry.
